About the project

eTabletky.sk is a Slovak price comparison site for pharmacy products. It covers over-the-counter medicines, dietary supplements, products for mums and children, dermocosmetics, medical devices and seasonal items such as insect repellents. For each product, the site compares the prices of pharmacies that have it in stock and links directly to the pharmacy that handles the order. It is neither an online shop nor a pharmacy itself. Prices and availability are updated three times a day.

The second part of the site is an advice section with articles about medicines, vitamins and seasonal complaints. Each article starts with a short answer and ends with frequently asked questions.

Tools help too. The symptom checker suggests categories based on your complaints and tells you when to see a doctor, the travel first-aid kit tool puts together a packing list, and the home medicine cabinet tool sends an email before medicines expire. Questions are answered by the AI Lekárnik (AI pharmacist). The site's content does not replace the advice of a doctor or pharmacist.

How to search

1. If you don't know what to look for, use the symptom checker; based on the complaints you describe, it suggests categories of over-the-counter products and tells you when it is better to see a doctor.
2. For a specific product, check the price comparison of the pharmacies that have it in stock.
3. In the Special offers section you will find discounts that are currently valid on products in stock.
4. Before a holiday, have the travel first-aid kit tool put together a list based on your destination and fellow travellers.
5. Save the medicines you have at home in the home medicine cabinet, and the site will email you before they expire.
