About the project
iPotraviny is a Slovak price comparison site. Besides groceries, it covers drinks, alcohol, household and personal care products, cosmetics, dietary supplements, pharmacy items, medical supplies and products for children and pets. The site itself sells nothing; you buy directly from the shop that offers the product.
Products are divided into thirteen departments, from Pantry and Coffee and tea to Cosmetics, Household and Pets. If several shops sell the same product, the site matches their offers by EAN code and shows them side by side. Prices and availability are updated every day.
Products also show the price per kilogram or litre and the price history, so you can quickly see whether a larger pack is really better value and how the price has changed. Categories come with short tips on what to look for when choosing, and the site also has articles and recipes.

How to search
- Start in a department, such as Pantry or Cosmetics, and go to a specific subcategory. Each has a short tip on what to look for when choosing.
- When comparing, look at the price per kilogram or litre, not the price per pack. Differences between pack sizes are often large.
- For products sold by several shops, compare the offers side by side and check the price history.
- On the Discounts page you will find products that are currently cheaper than their usual price.
