About the project
SoundAlert is an Android app that keeps an eye on media volume. When you open a monitored app, such as YouTube, TikTok or Instagram, and the volume is above your limit, SoundAlert quietly lowers it within about a second to the level you have set. No tapping required.
You choose both the limit and the target level yourself, and there are also Quiet, Normal and Noisy environment presets. The app recognises more than 80 apps in five categories: social networks, messaging, browsers, video and music. It only changes media volume and leaves ringtone, notifications and alarm alone. It needs no camera or microphone, has no ads, and automatic lowering also works offline.
The free version monitors one app of your choice. The PRO version adds all supported apps and an emergency mode that mutes media with a single tap. LIFETIME also adds volume learning, which suggests levels for each app separately for speaker and headphones, without changing anything unless you approve it. Both paid versions are a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Frequently asked questions
How do I automatically mute YouTube or TikTok on Android?
SoundAlert monitors the apps you choose, and when media volume is above your limit as they open, it lowers it within about a second to the level you have set.
Is SoundAlert free?
Yes, the free version monitors 1 app with unlimited automatic lowering and offers a 7-day trial with full access on first launch. PRO costs 3.99 € and LIFETIME 7.99 €, both as a one-time payment.

No. It only reads the media volume and which app is open, directly on the phone. It does not record audio or use camera or microphone permissions.
Does SoundAlert also change ringtone or alarm volume?
No. It only works with media volume, meaning videos, music, browsers and social networks. It does not change ringtone, notifications or alarm.
